Sunday 10am

RSS

Our main Sunday morning service is at 10.00 am and there will normally be over a hundred of us gathered together to encounter God.

We use a wide range of material drawn from Common Worship: Services and Prayers for the Church of England and try to ensure that the language is contemporary and easy to understand. We will typically have spoken and sung worship, prayers, readings from the Bible and a sermon or talk. We are very fortunate at St A's to have many talented musicians and they use the best of both traditional and contemporary church music, from choir and organ to saxophones and guitars.

Children up to the age of 11 will usually have their own groups on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays during term time but on the 3rd Sunday we all join together in a service suitable for all ages.,

Overall the service lasts for around one hour after which we meet together for tea, coffee and biscuits.

Our 10.00 am services generally follow this monthly pattern:

1st Sunday      Morning Worship

2nd Sunday     Holy Communion

3rd Sunday      All-Age Service

4th Sunday      Holy Communion

5th Sunday      Morning Worship
